After 4 years and around 100 posts, I've decided to stop writing for this Substack. There's no particular reason, other than I want to focus my writing time elsewhere. It's been happening without me really noticing anyway. I've been writing more book reviews, that’s part of it. I've also been focusing on a funded project along with something else I'm trying to develop. All this other activity has just left little time for my Substack. Slowing the writing down slightly and focusing is the current aim too. I've enjoyed writing here, but other spaces and formats seem to be drawing my attention at the moment.
Thanks go to The Fragment's 1057 subscribers. Much appreciated.
Anyone interested in my work, for any reason, will find an up-to-date portfolio on my website davidbeer.net .
If you are involved with any spaces you'd like me to write for, then just drop me a line. Or I'm available to speak too, if the opportunity arises.
And if anyone wants to contact me, you can reply to this email or find my contact details through the above link to my website or on my University of York staff page.
In the meantime, the paperback version of my book The Tensions of Algorithmic Thinking is now available for pre-order from the usual outlets or direct from the publisher.
